Stylish Family Home In Copenhagen

This stylish apartment belongs to Tanja Vibe, the owner of Danish-Swedish graphic design studio All The Way to Paris. The combination of the timber floorboards, the warm pops of colour and the simplicity of the white walls creates a unique contemporary and homely vibe. The Dutch have a knack for combining unusual accessories and furniture together to create quirky and minimalistic spaces, and this home in completely indicative of that same inventiveness. Furnished with iconic designs, the flat is incredibly stylish while still functioning as a family home.

Adorned with beautiful copper pendants and hints of sunburnt tones, this dining room radiates charm and warmth, perfect for sharing a meal with the family. The assorted chairs also adds a bit of playfulness to the space. Whilst catering for three boys and a husband, it is obvious that this unique household accommodates many small gatherings and dinner parties due to the lengthy dining table and additional seating.

Lots of light enters into the apartment, creating a clean and bright atmosphere, perfect for the study. The timber floorboards and window framing contrast well against the white walls. Black and white tones are used quite frequently in this space, and the bright graphic illustrations and accessories dotted around the apartment break up these neutral tones quite well.

Grey is the “go to” colour of the season, as seen across numerous magazines and interior décor blogs. It sure does look sophisticated, and it blends well with tan, white and black tones, which will never go out of style. The lounge room layers grey on grey, and adds lighter and darker accents throughout to draw to the eye to certain corners of the room. The face cushion and hanging paper lanterns maintain the playfulness of the space.

This small study corner uses green tones, graphic illustrations and framing to dramatize the space. This utilisation of colour and decorative pieces is repeated throughout the apartment, and is a very good idea for those who want to add a personal touch to their homes.
