Just a Touch of Mustard

We’ve been seeing Mustard Yellow as a feature colour in interiors for a couple of seasons now, yet it looks like its here to stay a little longer, though, with good reason because whilst its punchy and bold, it works wonderfully with grey, which is everywhere at the moment.  The great thing about mustard yellow is its adaptability, you can use a muted mustard all over as a neutral or select a brighter, punchier tone to use as an accent, it can also be bright and summery when teamed with other bright tones such as aqua or pink, or warm and perfect for Autumn and winter when paired with charcoals & textural elements.  Yellow is also popular for breaking up black and white monochromatic palettes, the hit of bright yellow brings a sense of fun and imbalance to the scene giving it a more relaxed feel.
