Floating Shelf Bookcases
I’ve had this image saved on my computer for a while now, and I love the idea so thought I would share!

Book & magazine storage has always proved problematic for me, I have so many and I don’t want every wall covered with a bookcase! In this situation they have cleverly used the normally unused space beneath the window to create a feature out of their book collection. The symmetry of the two displays on either side of the fireplace gives this room a formal feel, and the books arranged by colour bring some life and accent to the room. I am also loving the vase with that vibrant pop of green!
This is such a fantastic storage solution for just about any house, the space beneath windows is often left bare, this floating shelf solution would also look amazing in a hallway, a bedroom or a home office and the open shelving allows you to create gorgeous displays bringing your personality into a room.
We’ve rounded up some pieces to help you get this look at home:
Accessories with your favourite books or magazines (colour coordinated for extra effect!) & some beautiful accessories, we love:
This white sculpture from BoConcept – doubles as a handy bookend!
And these cork letters from BoConcept all make a cute feature, playing on the whole ‘book’ theme!
And we have scoped out a similar vase – again from BoConcept’s accessories range (which I am now very familiar with after unpacking, styling the shelves, and repeating numerous times the last few weeks!)
And of course some fresh flowers! Can’t go past beautiful Peonies this time of year – absolutely stunning!
