It’s almost December, and you know what that means! Start putting up your decorations, because Christmas is only just around the corner! It’s such a magical time, whether you’re spending time with family friends, or looking for presents to spread some joy, there’s something about Christmas that can put a smile on anyone’s face. A beautiful tree, a glowing display of fairy lights or a wreath hanging on a door will add a touch of the festive spirit in any home. We’ve collected some inspiring imagery of Christmas decorations that will hopefully trigger some creative juices in you!

Why not try a Winter Wonderland theme for your home this Christmas? Swap your green and red ornaments for some silver and white ones. Throw some fur rugs over your dining room chairs, and pretend like it’s snowing outside. It doesn’t matter that it might be 30 degrees in December, if you’re wanting that true Christmas feel, deck your home out in everything that’s glistening and white!

If you’re not wanting to go all out on the Christmas decorations, you could just decorate your living room, or perhaps just the coffee table. You can get that Christmas spirit just by lighting a few candles to warm your home, and even adding a few green pot plants to replace a tree. A splash of metallic gold and a few pines cones as a centrepiece on the dining room table is all you need!

Advent calendars are a fun way to count or celebrate the days in anticipation of Christmas. Each box or window opens up to reveal an image, poem, portion of a story or a small gift, such as a toy or chocolate item. Above our some playful DIY creations that you can try. I just love those cute mini Christmas trees! If you’re wanting something with a modern edge, try recreating the cut out trees with printed numbers on them.

And finally, we come to the Christmas tree! If you’re a little over buying a real tree, vacuuming up all of those pine needles off the floor and putting up all of those glass ornaments, why not try something a little more two dimensional. Like the recycled wooden tree for a rustic look, or perhaps the fun red balloon poster tree for something a little different. The options are limitless!
