Australia Day Special
Given it’s Australia Day, I thought it would be appropriate to feature some of my favourite Aussie homes, these homes embrace the Australian way of life, but either entirely immersing in our landscape, or or represent distinctly Aussie style! Enjoy!

The Hill Plain House by Wolveridge Architects is located in Regional Victoria. The darkened interiors give each room a connection to their surrounding outdoor environment.
The Hill Plain House has received numerous awards including the Design Institute of Australia (DIA) 2011 Premier Award for Interior Design Excellence.
This incredible home by Australian Firm Chenchow Little is locates on Freshwater Beach, on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. The home is largely made up of glass walls with a second skin of timber to provide privacy and sun protection. This is exactly where I would rather be on Australia Day!
It simply doesn’t get more Aussie then the Marcus Beach House in Queensland, by Bark Architects.

The winner of the Interior Decoration award in the 2011 Australian Interior Design Awards reveals a careful revival of a historical federation home in NSW. I am just imagining myself on that veranda on a balmy night with a glass of wine! By Hare + Klein Interior Design.
