ADGE Boutique Hotel Surry Hills
This post has been a few weeks coming, but we’re excited to be sharing a recent project, the ADGE Boutique Apartment Hotels in Sydney’s Surry Hills. The ADGE hotel set out to create something different, with the hotel’s motif ‘dare to be different’ represented in many ways across every aspect of the business, including on the bedroom pillows. ADGE hotel successfully combine urban adventure and daredevil design, and offer a boutique experience for their guests that offers a taste of the Sydney urban lifestyle for a night or more. Proving that daring to be different has paid off, ADGE hotel is currently ranking number 1 (of 187) on Trip Advisors Sydney Hotel’s.
ADGE hotel first came in contact with Emma, of our Moore Park store, who took their brief for contemporary, urban, cutting edge, representing Sydney’s style & dynamic, in addition to their more basic needs of durable, practical furnishings as required by a hotel, and helped them select some appropriate Beyond Furniture pieces to suit their style.
The ADGE hotel consists of a number of 2 bedroom apartments, all in this bold, modern style. The wow factor in each room is really brought on by the carpet, with the rest of the furniture being a simple charcoal and white palette with contemporary finishes and a sleek modern look. Each apartment features the Sienna dining table, the gloss white Oltre chairs, the gloss white Olivia side table, the Astrati console table, the Basso TV unit in gloss dark grey, and the Contempo mirror in the living rooms.
Rooms also feature colourful Smeg fridges, Samsung TV’s & coffee machines – all the mod con’s you might need for a self-contained weekend away, and an outdoor balcony with fantastic Sydney views.
Things are toned down a little in the bedroom for a more relaxing space, although the company’s dare to be different motif can’t be missed, and almost challenges you to take on something new whilst you’re spending time in Sydney! The bedroom features our Blocco bedsides in gloss white, and some plain white wall panel’s form the simple, but sophisticated head board.
The urban adventure and daredevil design brief is evident in the lobby, with a very urban and colourful graffiti wall, complemented with sleek black and white furniture and fixtures.
In it’s first couple of weeks of operation, the hotel have received 37 ‘excellent’ ratings on Trip Advisor, with reviews along the lines of ” Love love love this place!!! Staff are very accomodating and friendly. notthing was ever too much of a hassle. Such funky decor nothing is of the normal, so nice to see. little extras like staff coming to turn down your bed every night, makes you feel very important…” (by Sharon S from Griffith) we can’t wait to see what big thing’s are in store for ADGE, and test it out for ourselves!
