A House in Paradise
It’s Friday afternoon, at the end of the year, it was a spectacular sunny day, everyone else seems to be on holiday & at the beach & my concentration is shot! So to the end the year, a gallery style post of one of my favourite apartments this year, a home in Ibiza with star contributions from Marcel Wanders Patricia Urquiola, Antonio Citterio and Jean-Marie Massaud, and it’s in Ibiza, and right now, it essentially matches what I am day dreaming about!
Photo’s from a place I would rather be!
The dining room – perfectly balanced, perfectly eclectic & perfectly styled.
The kitchen & breakfast room space. This is the only photo that doesn’t quite sit right for me, I love the table and chairs, but feel they are too stark for the warmer tones of the room & the pendant. Or perhaps a different pendant would balance the freshness of the table and chairs?
A quiet spot for reading. Minimal, yet overflowing with designer pieces and style. I do love the very square & clean cut window and door frames cut through the thick outer walls, allowing blocks of daylight to pour in.
A contemporary, yet inviting space in the living room. The form & colour of the sofa with black accents offer a slightly masculine feel to this space, the warmth of the rug and the darker colours here serve to create an intimate space for conversation or relaxing. The frameless glass bi-fold doors are spectacular.
In the bedroom, the dark, textured, rug; the dark print & lamps and the upholstered bed once again create a warm and inviting sanctuary feel within the earthiness of the room. The natural tones used throughout ensures it works.
And one of my favourite images that did the rounds on Pinterest, this collection of accessories on the floating shelf just ‘has it’. A perfect arrangement of interesting pieces.
